Our aim is to encourage and refresh pastors through either a 4-day getaway (Selah) or an extended stay (Sabbatical) at one of our retreat sites. We would also be available to provide consulting with the lead teams and teaching for the congregations during their pastors absence.
Simeon & Sonya Young | PRESIDENT & SECRETARY/TREASURER
Simeon and Sonya have been married 33 years and are presently serving as lead pastors at New Community Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Together they love hanging out with people, laughing, playing racket sports, sharing innovative ideas, and are drawn to deep theological discussions. Their passion for God’s Word, fun-loving personalities and knack for hospitality is the perfect blend for what they feel called to do—host and encourage pastoral couples who have become weary in the fight.
Paul & Julie Cook | BOARD MEMBER / VICE PRESIDENT
Paul and Julie are lead pastors at Life Central—a strong and growing church in Plano, Texas. They have served in full-time ministry for over 30 years and have hearts for raising up and developing leaders to maximize the local church's impact in the kingdom of God. They have a big vision to spread the Good News of Jesus, and to encourage and equip others to do the same.
MARK & laquita BRIGGS | BOARD MEMBER
Mark and Laquita Briggs are the founding pastors of Riverpark Church. They are passionate about people and helping them discover all that Christ has to offer. Their mission is to use all of their God-given talents to help people become better. Their transparency yields a deep, honest, and open relationship with God and with people. Together Mark and Laquita enjoy fitness, playing tennis, working on their farm, and spending time with one another, their children, and their grandchildren.
kevin & melissa herrin | board MEMBER
Kevin & Melissa Herrin have been senior pastors of The Fellowship of Texas City since 2001. They have travelled the nation speaking at youth events, local churches, and ministers’ conferences, and have even ministered in Word and song internationally. Pastor Kevin and Melissa’s heartbeat is that our world would know its identity through Christ. They are also co-founders of NOW Camps, Inc. which has been raising up leaders in the summer for over 25 years. They have two books in the works and Kevin has several recording projects.
Lemuel & Joanna Young | BOARD MEMBER / MARKETING
Lemuel is a Oklahoma-based creative director, filmmaker, serial dabbler, drinks a little too much coffee and is pursuing a pastoral calling. He presently works as a freelance graphic designer and creative ideator. He and Joanna are inspired by being in community and sharing the Gospel story.
SHELLY & TRONA HENDRICKS | BOARD MEMBER
Shelly and Trona have served together in full-time pastoral ministry for over 30 years, and have a passion to encourage and equip leaders and grow the local church. They traveled for 14 years as an itinerant ministry, and have also served as outreach, administrative and assistant pastors in various churches. Shelly is an author, playwright, director, life coach and entrepreneur. He presently volunteers as assistant pastor at The Fellowship in Texas City, Texas, manages his construction business, and travels as a guest speaker.
DR. PHIL & CATHY BRASSFIELD | ADVISORY / CONSULTANT
For more than 25 years, Phil and Cathy Brassfield have served in various ministry capacities in the local church and in a variety of executive positions with three different non-traditional Christian Colleges. He presently serves as director of Destiny Ministries. His wife, Cathy, holds a degree in Biblical Studies, and serves as a role model to countless women in ministry. She is an intercessor and also manages the Destiny Business Office.
JONATHAN & SHARON PERRY | ADVISORY / CONSULTANT
Jonathan and Sharon have been serving in full-time pastoral ministry for over 30 years and are presently lead pastors at Life Chapel, a thriving church in Toledo, Ohio. They not only faithfully serve their local church and coach ministry leaders but have also founded a hip coffee shop in downtown Toldeo, Ohio which has become very popular.
